Dr. Seth Nelson
What am I about:
Becoming a chiropractor was a series of events, I grew up active, played sports, wasn’t graceful and got hurt frequently. In 8th grade, I had a football accident followed by rollerblading falls. Those lead to nearly 13 years of life-changing back issues. I got help from a chiropractor during high school, and while I was able to play basketball in college I could never lift weights like I wanted to. I constantly skipped leg day because it was painful (and not in a good way). The inconvenience of pain left me frustrated with my body.
During chiropractic school the pain became unbearable, and all the more frustrating! I was being treated several times a week by different people with no relief. I was ready to quit! It was exhausting to spend every day in pain. At the exact right time, a friend invited me for a weekend of “different continuing education.” I was skeptical, to say the least! Attending turned out to be the best decision I made!
I started a new path of nutrition and functional medicine training, which I have been pursuing for over 14 years. Taking a path of understanding the role exercise and self-care plays, additional training in therapies and treatments for muscles tendons and ligaments, extensive training in an incredibly effective treatment system for disc related injuries and certifications in animal chiropractic care have made up the kind of chiropractor you’ll experience at Rising Sun Chiropractic.
I love evolving my skills to provide a quality experience for patients! My goal is to give as many people as I can the power over health and how the body feels. It’s my mission to give the gift I was given; hope of feeling my best every day. I am a dad, husband, and a geek. For instance, don’t get me started on Lord of the Rings or Middle Earth in general! I enjoy playing video games, and being outdoors as much as possible. I look forward to helping you on your health journey!
